Ever since Rocco was diagnosed with Canine Epilepsy, we’ve been fretting over him. Our focus was on controlling his symptoms, getting him quality vet care and learning about his condition. Couple of months have already passed and we’ve eased into the reality of living with an Epi-dog. The kitties had been very patient in the background, mostly relieved for not having their pictures taken and being left alone to snooze peacefully in the office.
Today I decided to do a kitty appreciation day and make the whole day about them. Vasco enjoyed it for about an hour, Ilyich couldn’t be bothered…so soon I was left alone, while the cats buggered off to find some snooze worthy sunbeams.
Ilyich got a brand new bed, now he has two favourite spots, mere 2 ft away from each other.
The bed is actually a DIY – a free wooden wine box (picked it up at the liqueur store – they usually have some kicking around) with a thick towel on the bottom and a cat crinkle bag on top.
Rocco wasn’t too pleased with the whole kitty hoopla – he mopped around the house, doing his best impression of a neglected and depressed dog.
To his delight the cats decided to cut festivities short. They can’t say I didn’t try!
