Animals of Low and High Moral Standing by R.S. Posnak

February 17, 2012 by A Husky Life

These two prints by a San Francisco based artist, R.S. Posnak, are not only a humours portrayal of our tendency towards anthropomorphism, but also raise a more serious issue of why we are more keen on protecting certain species and neglecting others. Cute pandas and seals are on the forefront of our efforts to save endangered species, while other species are overlooked or even denied (WOLVES!) protection.
